Why use third party ink

WHY USE ALTERNATIVE THIRD PARTY INKS?

we all hear the scare stories about ink damaging print heads etc, in some cases that is indeed quite correct.  In my time evaluating third party  inks, I have come across some simply shocking quality products with no cleaning agents and pigments large enough to block the Channel Tunnel. Use these inks and YES you will have trouble, maybe not today or tomorrow or even in the next 12 months but all of a sudden you will notice more cleaning required and nozzles becoming blocked more frequently until eventually a new print head is needed.

Will Epson OEM ink save me from print head faliure, NO it most certainly will not, We have a bunch of machines with failed heads which have used nothing but OEM ink. Using a good maintenance cycle will help, Inkjet printers like to print and good quality ink will help keep the machine working, so printing more and more keeps the machine in a more healthy state. Id go as far to suggest a OEM ink printing less frequently will be worse than a good quality NON OEM ink printing every day. If the ink you use is of a high quality then nozzles blockages will not be a cuase of the ink, make sure the pigments are resin encapsulated this reduced the chance of ‘clumping’ where the pigments bond together in suspension to form larger particles which in turn block the head, resin encapsulation such as Cab-O-Jet (the pigments used in our inks https://www.inkforinkjet.co.uk/shop/compatible-epson-stylus-pro-9880-7880-9800-7800-bulk-ink/) will eliminate this issue.

So what if i need a new print head?  OK!! that is some peoples view and so be it, but bear in mind a head for a Epson 7890 9890 and 4900 range  including fitting and calibration will create a bill of around £1500-1600, that is more than the cost of a 4900 and approaching 7890 money. A Canon 8 colour head is Around £300.00 per side and are consumable items, what if you use 6 a year ? I had one client using ten heads in a 9 month period before he came to me, that was a yearly cost of  £4000 on HEADS alone let alone the extra ink used to refill and flush, makes EPSON sound pretty cheap.
