We have seen some reports that you should empty and ECOTANK by turning the printer UPSIDE down and collecting the ink, This is certainly NOT a recommended way to do it, Using this method there is a great risk of ink coming in contact with electronic parts from inside the printer from the waste pad etc, this in turn can short the main board or any other electronic components.

For BRITISH manufactured SUBLIMATION INK for Epson ecotanks use these which are also safe for chidrens toys en-71.3 certified https://www.inkforinkjet.co.uk/shop/subpro-ds-bright-dye-sublimation-ink-all-epson-desktop/

Replace ecotank inks the correct way.

There are numerous different types of Ecotank, all with different ways to get into them to remove ink to replace with inkforinkjet ink . Here we list the main ones.
The First thing is opening the printer, in order for us to get access to printhead we need to release the printhead locking mechanism.
THIS IS VITAL:- Power on Printer – You will hear the printer release the printhead with a string of clicks , this is the head releasing, when you hear this remove the power cable from the rear or switch off the mains supply.

Open the printer

This part varies , some ecotanks have a large top lid which reveals the internal mechanism when lifting. Some like the et2711 require two screws to be removed to gain access. Both however require care not to open too wide and remove the scanner cable.

Remove carts or Tubes

Depending on model you will have removeable cartridges , sometimes covered by a lid over the printhead, this lid sometimes has a screw holding it on then clips , other just have clips. Remove the cover.
Once the cover is removed you can slide out the cartridges, ince the cartridges are removed by pressing the clip and sliding up, inset a syringe as per the image 1, open the ink filling caps on the ink tank and draw the ink all the way from the tank through the cart. Ove empty refil the ink tanks as normal and draw inks back up in the same method until ink enters the syringe ( you can add this back to the tank).

If you have the other models like the et7750 which do not have slide out carts, then you must remove the pips (tubes) and suck ink via these tubes , you can use a small needle and be very careful or use a adaptor to remove the ink. See image 2.
